Introductory/Special Classes Available
Fun Fur Pets also offers a few classes to help prepare dogs for Levels Training.
- Is your dog shy, timid?
- Does your dog cower away from new situations, dogs or people?
Your pup is what we call a Cautious Canine and we have a special class designed just for him/her. In the Cautious Canine class, we limit the number of dogs and provide a calmer, quieter environment to allow your dog to gain confidence. We work specifically on exercises and skills to build your dog’s confidence and get them ready to enter regular Levels Training classes or just to better deal with life and new environments.
- Does your dog lunge and/or bark at other dogs and/or people?
- Do you walk your dog early in the morning or late at night to avoid other dogs and people?
If so our Reactive Dog Class is designed for you and your dog. In this class we teach you and your dog how to cope with scary/startling situations.
All Reactive Dogs are required to attend at least 2 virtual Name Your Pain Classes to learn basic techniques in the comfortable surroundings of their own home. Learning these techniques at home BEFORE attending a Reactive Dog In Person class will help make your first in person class much more successful.
After attending a minimum of 2 Virtual Name your Pain classes, you can sign up for a Reactive Dog class. We limit the number of dogs in the class to allow you to learn how to manage situations with other dogs and people as well as teach your dog skills to cope and gain confidence so they aren’t as reactive. This class will help prepare your dog to enter regular Levels Training classes or how to cope with daily life.
- Do you have a new puppy?
- Does your puppy (must have their Rabies and be between 12 weeks and 10 months of age) need to learn proper play behavior with other puppies?
- Does your puppy need friends and to burn some energy?
In our Puppy Socialization class your puppy will play with other puppies off leash and you will help supervise with an instructor so you can learn proper play behavior and teach your puppy basic manners with other dogs and people off leash. Your puppy can participate in Levels Training along with Puppy Socialization classes.
